Adult Friendship
We're thrilled to have "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" finally on the big screen, with all... A look at who's who at
Before the movie opened, we had a chance to listen in on a news conference held in London with some of the young stars from "Goblet of Fire." Here's a quick look at the major young players you'll be seeing and hearing a lot about in the coming months.
Dan, as he is sometimes called, is back in the starring role for the fourth film. Radcliffe, now 16, says, "It's a lot of fun playing Harry as he gets older, because it's almost as if -- when you go from his 10th birthday -- in real life people sort of grow extra emotions."
Now that Radcliffe is a working actor, what does he splurge on? Radcliffe says it's not very exciting, but "it's mainly CDs, books and DVDs, I suppose. I haven't changed much in the last five years, so it's not particularly exciting."
Now that J.K. Rowling is busy penning the seventh and final book in the series, is there anything Radcliffe would like to say to her about what he'd like to happen in the final book? "If Quidditch isn't absolutely necessary..." Radcliffe says with a laugh, adding that the sport is tough to film and he'd rather have less of it in the final movie.
Watson, 15, loves to act and is proud of the latest movie. She says "Goblet of Fire" gives a more realistic look at friendships because even the best of friends don't always get along perfectly. "I loved all the arguing, I thought it was really juicy," Watson says.
"Hermione and Ron need to get it together... they're so wrong, but they're so right," Watson says, hoping that the pair will be a couple at the end of the story.
Grint, like most teens, says he loves gadgets and electronics. "I went to Japan last year and got this sort of spy camera disguised as a cigarette box. And that was quite cool."
Pattinson, who is from London, likes the fact that even before the movie opened, two fans asked to take pictures of him when he was in the city. Being part of the Potter movie is going to make him many new fans around the world.
Pattinson said, "The maze scene was really, really exciting. It was so enclosed in the maze that you could just really let your imagination go, even though it was just some guy with a rope pulling your leg with a rope, it was really fun."
Poesy, 23, is a French actress who has been acting since her teens, but this is her biggest movie yet, and one that is sure to make her a star with fans everywhere.
Poesy speaks English well thanks to an exchange program in Toronto, Ontario, when she was 13. She says she was lucky that even back in France, her parents sent her to a school that focused on English lessons more than other schools in France.
