The day after that last message, a sheriff's detective found out about their relationship. Theboy's mother found the myspace.com messages and realized that the woman who had been calling their house is Colleen Grear, 22, who speaks with a voice that sounds deceptively like a high school student, Detective Cass Collins said. The mother assumed she was a teenager, considering her son had just started his freshman year of high school, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said.

But when confronted, the boy admitted he had met with the woman to go skateboarding and hang out — and the relationship turned physical. His mother called the sheriff's office and on Tuesday, Grear was confronted by investigators at her job at The Scripps Research Institute in Jupiter, where she works with mice and rats in a laboratory.

Grear, who has a 2-year-old daughter, no history of arrest and grew up in Palm Beach County, was charged with solicitation of a minor and three counts of sexual battery on a minor. She was granted bail, but must stay home on house arrest, refrain from contacting the alleged victim or other minors and cannot use the Internet. Her grandfather was in the courtroom during her hearing Wednesday, but declined to comment.

Grear spoke to Detective Collins and apparently admitted to having sexual relations with the boy on three occasions: in a park and at the Singer Island motel she lives in.

"She was upset. She said, 'I know what I did was wrong. I'm a mom. I have a 2-year-old. I know better,' " Collins said. Grear also coaches high school girls' cheerleaders.

The page was viewable by anyone registered to the free site, but on Wednesday afternoon it was restricted so that only her friends can see it. Prior to the block, there was an image of her in her underwear and ramblings about the hazards of dating younger men. But she also had problems with older men. She married a man five years old than her when she was 19 and filed for divorce last year, according to county records.
